In order to enrich the cultural life on campus, arouse students’ interest in history learning, further construct a scholarly campus atmosphere, demonstrate students’ language expression abilities and inherit fine traditions of the Chinese nation, on 12th May, 2016, Anqing Foreign Language School’s Grade 7 in Junior High Section of the west campus held a spectacular Historical Story Reality Show Competition.
The contest won substantial support from school leaders, head teachers of Grade 7& all group members of History Department. The procedures were rigorous and preparatory work was well-aligned from the initial planning program, publicity, interim training, implementation to arrangements in the finals. Also, the event was hosted by Wu Yixi from Class 5, Grade 7& Lei Wannian from Class 6, Grade 7. Students’ adequate preparation, remarkable creative performing talents in addition to their brilliant power of understanding won applause from audiences. They diligently annotated comprehension towards historical figures on their own stage with blooming dreams.
In summary, this informative match further aroused students’ interest in history& reading, deepened their understanding towards historical stories, fully exploited their potentialities in terms of performing arts& speech delivering as well as elevated their comprehensive qualities. More noticeably, the competition imperceptibly sublimated emotions& devotion with regard to traditional culture of the Chinese nation so that we would make loyal patriots, sober observers of history to engrave, respect, narrate& inherit history, staring from ourselves.
Last but not the least, the results are as follows after fierce competition:
First-prize winners: Class 7, Grade 7& Class 8, Grade 7.
Second-place winners: Class 2,5&6 from Grade 7.
Third-award winners: Class 1,3,4 from Grade 7.
